In November, the Oradea Dance Ensemble will bring two guest performances to our city: on the 28th they will present the magical dance play Holló Jankó in two organized performances, and on the 29th they will perform the physical theatre performance The Schmürz at Háromszék Dance Studio.
On the Saturday of the 34th Folk Dance and Music Festival, the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble will present its performance "In the Heart of Europe" on the main stage of the Sepsi Arena from 8 pm.
The Hungarian National Dance Ensemble will present a two-part performance of Kalotaszeg and Szatmár from the Living Dance Archive series at the 34th Folk Dance and Music Festival. The folklore show will be presented on Friday, 8 November at 7 pm in the main hall of the Tamási Áron Theatre.
The Folk Dance and Music Festival will take place for the 34rd time on 8-9 November 2024 in Sfântu Gheorghe, organised by Háromszék Dance Theatre and the Lajtha László Foundation.
In October dance theatre productions and folklore performances will be part of our programme, but we will not forget about children: they can meet Lúdas Matyi the Goose, and the Döbrögi couple during the Szeklerland Days.
The professional company of Sfântu Gheorghe, which has been operating for 34 years, will continue its activities as Háromszék Dance Theatre, a name change approved by the Covasna County Council - the institution's sustainer - at its last council meeting.
Together with the László Lajtha Foundation, we organized the dance houses in Sfântu Gheorghe this season as well. A total of 11 times young folk dance enthusiasts gathered to learn new dances and have fun to the music of Folker band and the Heveder orchestra.
Two premieres, six different performances in repertoire, Folk Dance and Music Festival, Meeting of Transylvanian Hungarian Professional Folk Dance Ensembles, instrumental demonstrations, performances outside the city, national and international tours, folk dance houses enriched our 2023/2024 season.
