Társulatunk május közepén egyhetes turnéra indul a Tükör című néptáncszínházi produkcióval. A május 10-16. között megvalósuló körút rendhagyó esemény a Háromszék Táncszínház életében, hisz első alkalommal turnézunk a Vajdaságban. Belföldön a temesvári és aradi közönséggel találkozunk, majd, átlépve a szerb országhatárt, Magyarkanizsán, Szabadkán és Adán lépünk színpadra.
Májusban két előadásunk kerül reflektorfénybe. Legújabb, gyermekeknek szóló produkciónkat, a Pinokkiót három városban is színpadra visszük, míg Tükör című néptáncszínházi műsorunkkal ötállomásos turnéra indulunk, amelynek keretében első alkalommal mutatkozunk be a vajdasági közönség előtt.
Áprilisban változatos és gazdag kínálattal várjuk közönségünket: repertoárunkban három különböző előadás is helyet kap. A legkisebbek és családjaik örömére a Pinokkió kétszer is színpadra kerül Sepsiszentgyörgyön, újra műsorra tűzzük a Tükör című néptáncszínházi előadásunkat, a hónap végén pedig a Napszentület című misztikus táncjátékkal lépünk fel Székelyudvarhelyen.
Márciusban több szervezett előadás keretében is műsorra tűzzük új, interaktív gyermekelőadásunkat, a Pinokkiót. Részt veszünk az évente megrendezésre kerülő Erdélyi Magyar Hivatásos Néptáncegyüttesek Találkozóján, a hónap végén pedig a Sepsi Theatre ShowCase fesztivál keretében is színpadra lépünk.
Javában zajlanak legújabb interaktív gyermekelőadásunk, a Pinokkió próbái. A Tapasztó Ernő rendezésében és Farkas Tamás koreográfiájában készülő produkciót február 26-án mutatjuk be Sepsiszentgyörgyön.
The first month of 2026 kicks off with a diverse program lineup: both national and international tours, organized performances and guest shows enrich the repertoire. Special attention is also given to younger audiences: in Sf. Gheorghe and Budakalász, the adventures of Lúdas Matyi come to life, and on January 28, a guest performance by Bekecs Dance Theatre complements the offerings for children.
The news in the weeks leading up to the 35th Folk Dance and Music Festival floated rather oddly and changed quite frequently. It soon became relatively clear that, due to government budget cuts, this event would not be like previous editions, but for a long time it remained entirely uncertain what it would actually look like—and, above all, how large it would be.
On October 2, Emergency Government Decree No. 52/2025 came into effect, which, as part of cost-cutting measures, prohibits the financial management of cultural events. As a result, the organizers of the Folk Dance and Music Festival—the Háromszék Dance Theatre, the László Lajtha Foundation, and the Transylvanian Heritage House Foundation—were forced to redesign the event’s program and venue. Despite these challenges, we are doing everything possible to ensure that this long-standing tradition continues: the 35th Folk Dance and Music Festival will take place in Sf. Gheorghe on November 7–8 in a modified format, but it will certainly go ahead.
Organized by the Háromszék Dance Theatre and the László Lajtha Foundation, the 35th Folk Dance and Music Festival will take place on November 7–8, 2025, in Sf. Gheorghe.
In connection with the event, we are holding a drawing competition for children aged 6–10, titled “The Realm of Folk Instruments.”
Our October schedule is enriched with tours and performances outside the city. Our repertoire includes the children’s production Lúdas Matyi, and as part of the 16th Székelyföld Days, we will present our folklore program This Side of the Tisza, Beyond the Danube. Additionally, we will showcase our latest production, the mystical dance drama Sunset, at several venues.
