This month the spotlight is on our new folklore performance, We Will Live Free (Élni fogunk szabadon), directed by László Ivácson.
By popular request, we will present again the folklore show honouring the memory of Petőfi on the 10th of May in Sfântu Gheorghe. In the middle of the month, we will bring the performance to the stage in Covasna and Târgu Secuiesc. The production presents the relationship of the poet, born in the lowland, with the people of Szeklerland, the changes in the mood of the years 1848-1949, the enthusiasm and compassion that arose in the wake of current events.

The Tragedy performance based on Madách's work is intended by the composer- choreographer Árpád Könczei to be thought-provoking first of all. Through the art of dance (folk dance, contemporary dance, movement) the production asks questions about the relationship between man and woman, between the individual and the masses, about faith, love, freedom, competition and the existence of the phalanstery, and tries to provide some answers as well.
Our performance for children "World Famous Redever" is back on stage. On the 31st, our youngest audience in Covasna can meet the popular characters of our fairytale play.
Folk music and folk dance lovers are welcome to Folk Dance House this month: the Folker band is going to play on Friday, 26th of May. The exact location will be announced soon.

Tickets for our performances in Sfântu Gheorghe can be purchased at the Central Ticket Office.

Tickets for our performances in the countryside are available in advance at the ticket offices of the cultural centres.
