The performance brings to life the paintings of Mih\u00e1ly Munk\u00e1csy through the means of movement and music. This guest performance marks the first collaboration between the company from Sf\u00e2ntu Gheorghe and the Bulandra Theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Directed by Tam\u00e1s Farkas and Ern\u0151 Tapaszt\u00f3, the production intertwines dance, music, and visual arts to present Munk\u00e1csy\u2019s dramatic and emotionally charged world, casting a new light on the famous artist\u2019s oeuvre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mih\u00e1ly Munk\u00e1csy (1844\u20131900) is one of the most renowned figures of Hungarian painting. His works capture the sufferings and inner struggles of the human soul. The performance centers around iconic paintings such as <em>The Yawning Servant<\/em>, <em>House of Mourning<\/em>, <em>Churning Woman<\/em>, <em>Brushwood Gatherer<\/em>, <em>Ballad<\/em>, <em>Portrait of Franz Liszt<\/em>, <em>Death of Mozart<\/em>, <em>Christ before Pilate<\/em>, as well as <em>Ecce Homo<\/em> and <em>Golgotha<\/em>. These paintings reflect not only the painter\u2019s technical genius but also the deepest sufferings and trials of human life. This unique production offers the audience a chance to experience how painting transforms into a dynamic, moving form and how the stories depicted on the canvas come to life through dance. The images that once spoke quietly on the canvas now come alive through movement, sounds, and emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The music for the performance was composed by Levente Fazakas; costume design by Cristina Breteanu; props by \u00c1d\u00e1m Zayzon; set design by Zsuzsi Sz\u0151ke; visuals and projections by El\u0151d Izs\u00e1k. The creative team also includes art history consultant Gabriella Gyarmati. The choreographer is Tam\u00e1s Farkas, assisted by \u00c1gnes Farkas. The production is co-directed by Tam\u00e1s Farkas and Ern\u0151 Tapaszt\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For H\u00e1romsz\u00e9k Dance Theatre, this performance represents an exciting artistic experiment.
