The event plays a mediating role in collecting and promoting our folklore heritage, passing on traditional folk music and folk dance between generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For thirty years the meeting has provided an invaluable opportunity for collecting, presenting hundreds of dancers and musicians from all the ethnographic regions of Transylvania to the audience of Sf\u00e2ntu Gheorghe. From 2018 a new chapter in the history of the event has begun, which now focuses on celebrating the folklore passed down, rather than collecting dance and music.
