Folk Dance Theatre Performance in One Act<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I looked into the mirror\u2014it was the mirror of Beauty, love played within it, and so did returned love.
I looked into my mirror\u2014I didn\u2019t see myself.
I looked into your mirror\u2014I saw us.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"One can only know a person's face, but the face is not the person.
The person is behind the face. Invisible.\"<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How often have we lived by G\u00e1rdonyi\u2019s words? How often do we invoke the descendants of Attila? How often have we asked: how should we love our Sz\u00e9kely kin?
What does the mirror reveal in the heart of a mirrored soul when we dance the Sz\u00e9kely round dance?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our memories bloom beautifully when we think of you\u2014old dancers, elders, kind-hearted souls of the past!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the performance entitled \"Mirror\"<\/strong>, the H\u00e1romsz\u00e9k Dance Theatre brings to the stage a vibrant array of dances from Sz\u00e9kely regions: Erd\u0151vid\u00e9k, S\u00f3vid\u00e9k, Gyimes, the Mez\u0151s\u00e9g Sz\u00e9kelys, and the Gyergy\u00f3 and Cs\u00edk basins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drawing on memories of old collecting journeys and significant encounters, Zolt\u00e1n Zsur\u00e1fszky Jr.<\/strong> seeks a reflection of our present selves, breaking the usual structure of dance anthologies.
He choreographs new steps for the future third generation of the folk dance house movement, to new compositions by S\u00e1ndor Cso\u00f3ri Jr.<\/strong>, in collaboration with the excellent musicians of the H\u00e1romsz\u00e9k ensemble.
For a few moments in the mirror, we glimpse choreographies by Anett Nagyp\u00e1l, Ign\u00e1c K\u00e1d\u00e1r, Endre Melles,<\/strong> and Attila T\u00f3kos<\/strong> as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
